Casa Janchel is a beautiful new duplex that was recently built for its owners Jane and Andrew over a period of 3 years and finally completed in 2008 on an origanal plot within this lovely old fishing village.

As lovers of Fuerteventura and El Cotillo in particular, they took the opportunity in 2005 to buy into this brand new development. Whilst new buildings are nothing new in holiday paradises like Fuerteventura, it is rare to come across a new building within a beautiful old town like El Cotillo.

The golden beaches and blue lagoons at El Cotillo are truly breathtaking and just a short walk away.

They are great for relaxing and enjoying a dip in the ocean and are equally suited for those of you who prefer more adventurous Water Sports, Windsurfing, Surfing and even Fishing.

There are bars and restaurants nearby to make your time on the beach relaxing and comfortable, and with the beach bar el Torino on the beach there is no excuse for dehydrating!

El Cotillo Town is situated in the north of Fuerteventura on the west coast and belongs to the municipality of La Oliva. Until quite recently, El Cotillo was just a small fishing village.

Today the town is still very small and quiet and has a lot more atmosphere than some of the other, bigger tourist towns that can be found on Fuerteventura. The new supermarket makes life a lot easier for the self caterers amongst us whilst the small independant shops keep the local atmosphere going.

The restauraunts that you will find in El Cotillo are warm and welcoming. Fish gourmets amongst you will be delighted with the choice of fresh local fish available on the menus.

A wide selection of traditional Spanish dishes along with more conventional choices for the less adventurous amongst us are also readily available. All within staggering distance of Casa Janchel.

Dining in El Cotillo is a real pleasure.
